ABC's Can You Hear Me

COVID-19 lockdowns have been tough for everyone trying to staying productive creatively and for production teams in the screen industry as a whole, I’ve been fortunate enough to be part of this project helmed by Grace Feng, and co-produced with Michael Hudson.

Created as part of ABC’s Walking Together initiative to “reflect, listen and build on the shared national identity of Indigenous and non-Indigenous people,” Can You Hear Me? is a three-parter factual short-form series bringing together Indigenous Australians and Chinese Australians in conversation about their professional lives and cultural values.

Making most of Australia’s patchy NBN and internet connection, the series was filmed entirely remotely and over Zoom. Available locally on ABC iView, it will also be broadcast on ABC’s international broadcast network ABC Australia TV in Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia between 28-30 July.
